Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Frosting

Ingredients

Cake
- 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp soluble coffee
- ¼ cup and 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup boiling water
- ½ salt

Frosting
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2 tbsp confectioner’s sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup condensed milk












Directions

Cake
1 – Preheat the oven at 180°C.
2 – In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, baking powder and soluble coffee.
3 – In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, milk, egg and oil until it is completely combined.
4 – Add the flour mixture into the batter and beat it manually. Try not to overmix.
5 – Transfer the cake batter into the grassed pans and bake for 30 – 35 min.
6 – Take the cake from the oven and let it cool completely for about 20 min before frosting the cake.
Frosting
- Whip the cream with sugar and vanilla extract in a bowl using an electric mixer until soft peaks are formed. I recommend placing the bowl where we are going to whip the cream over another bowl containing water and ice.
- Incorporate the condensed milk into the whipped cream using a spatula.
